It?s bad enough when you have a lot of hair on your body, but the most annoying is when you have a thick growth of hair on the face.
Many women over the years have tried all kinds of treatments to get rid of facial hair. 12-year-old Latha tried to scrub off her moustache with a towel, with the result that her entire upperlip turned raw and started bleeding. Sandra has been shaving her entire face for 4 years, and now she needs to shave it everyday or she will develop a stubble! 23-year-old Sneha tried to scrub off her sideburns with a pumice stone, and the next day, she had thick scarring where her sideburns used to be.
There are millions such stories of women struggling to cope with facial hair. If you too are one of the numerous women with the same problem, realize that you are not alone in this, and that there is a lot you can do without resorting to drastic means.
Threading
Thread the hair on your upperlip and chin. Read this article for step-by-step instructions to threading. Threading will help you remove even the tiniest and finest of hair, whereas, if you wax, you will need to wait for hair to grow before you can wax it off again.
If you don?t have a lot of hair on the chin, instead of threading, selectively pluck just the thick hair. Don?t get tempted to pluck fine hair, because it will grow back thicker. Also, thread your eyebrows, but you may want to leave this to professionals. Don?t try threading your brows yourself unless you are skilled in threading, because you may mess up the shape. If you have a lot of hair on your forehead, you could thread it when you are doing your eyebrows. Don?t thread your forehead if you are prone to developing pimples on this area. Bleaching would be a better solution.
If you don?t live in India, and don?t have easy access to someone who can thread your eyebrows, pluck them regularly, or get them waxed by a beautician.
Waxing
It is not very feasible to wax your entire face. You could, however, wax your sideburns. Fortunately, sideburns take a while to grow back, and over time, with regular waxing, the growth will reduce. However, be careful to ensure that you don?t wax off very fine hair when waxing the sideburns. Wax only the very thickest portion of the sideburns, so the fine hair doesn?t grow back thicker ? or gradually you will need to wax your cheeks as well.
So now you have tackled the main problem areas, which are the upperlip, chin, sideburns and eyebrows. If you have a lot of hair on your cheeks as well, instead of waxing such a large portion of your face, simply apply bleach to your entire face. If you bleach sideburns that are very hairy, blonde hair is often clearly visible. However, now that you have waxed off the hairiest part of your sideburns, bleach your entire face. Your face will look clean, fresh and free of hair.

Well you have plenty of options. If you are a girl I would advise against shaving, bad idea for facial hair.
You could tweeze but if you have alot that could take forever and hurt.
Waxing lasts a long time if you can stand the pain,it only hurts for a second and is a little red for about 30 minutes after but its trust worthy method of long lasting hair removal.
Also there are depilatory creams like Nair. Make sure you get the cream make espcially for facial hair though. Don't use leg cream on your face. Sometimes the hair on your face is softer than on your leg and you can end up with a bad rash.
You could bleach it to make it less noticable, but like before remember to buy facial bleach. That is very important.
It all depends on the level and location of the facial hair you have, the less hair the less severe treatment. I get random neck hairs that I tweeze like my eye brows but I wax my upper lip which tends to show a tiny mustache (the curse of having black hair!)
(all these things, including home waxing kits can be found at your local drug store)
For a more permanant fix there is electrolysis. This can be expensive and take many sessions before getting the desired results, but is does last forever.
Good luck! Hope this helps!!

Hi,
I am a female %26amp; I also have quite a noticable facial hairs specially on my face sides %26amp; upper lips
These are many wayz of removing facial hairs.I would say shaving %26amp; using hair removing creams is a complete no-no , pls don't ever do this to your face.
also i don't favour doing waxing on face.
if u just have more hairs on ur upperlips , you can get threading done for ur eyebrows %26amp; upperlips regularly %26amp; for other facial hairs try bleaching them with a good bleach , i feel oxybleach is good.this will make your face look clean.
These methods are temporary ones %26amp; you have to regulary do those if you start once.
Now a days laser hair removal is becoming popular , thats a permanent solution , so if you can afford the price %26amp; you have skilled people in ur city , that is the best i think.
One more very important thing is try being confident %26amp; happy with what you are , you should definitly take some steps to overcome not-so-good things in you , but don't loose your confidence for those.
I hope this helps.
gud luck

I developed the same issue and it became noticeably worse in my 20's and after child birth. After 10 years of searching I have found that Nair depilatory cream made especially for face once a week is the answer for me.
As women there is nothing more frustrating, embarrassing, and unfeminine than facial hair. I had given up after 10 years of searching. I wax, tweezed, did expensive electrolysis, lasered, cut with scissors!, razored , and used hair growth inhibiting creams and depiltored my way trough the last 10 years, as a last resort I tried a depilatory cream at the recent advice of my dermatologist. I was not hopefully but tried anyway. I was pleasantly surprised though because the creams today are much more gentle and worked wonderfully. There was no scarring or rehabbing, just put it on like a facial and took off with a razorless blade (sold with some depilatory creams like Veet) after 10 minutes (took a couple of times before I got the timing right) or just use a tongue scrubber (sold in dental care aisle, and a wash cloth works just as well). My husband doesn't even know what I am doing when I have it on, he think I'm giving myself a facial. Best part is with the hair gone my skin looks radiant! I wish I had this 10 years ago it would have saved my self-esteem a huge amount of heartache.
Listen, there could be an underlying cause to why you are growing the hair too. In my case I have PCOS, which is fairly common. Be sure to see a good endocrinologist or gynecologist or any doctor that knows about womens hormones. There are medications that can help to alleviate some of the symptoms like Aldactone to prohibit excess androgen production which may cause excessive hair growth. Check with your doctor though because everything has risks. You have options so feel them all out. But in the meantime you gotta learn to love you the exact way GOD made you!
